Benefit concert
Friday, 6 February 2026, from 7:00 PM
Dominicuskerk, Amsterdam
Amanos Foundation invites you to come together to remember and to look toward the future. Exactly three years after the earthquakes in southern Turkey, the phase of acute emergency aid has passed, but the need for long-term reconstruction has only grown. All proceeds from the evening will go toward the Mother and Child House we are establishing in Samandağ, Turkey.
The Göksel Yilmaz Ensemble will perform a repertoire of Turkish, Arabic, and Kurdish music influenced by Western styles such as jazz, blues, and classical music. Through their performances, they invite listeners on a musical journey through life; from longing to rebellion, from sorrow and melancholy to intense love and joy.
Before the concert, we will engage in conversation with several people who know the country, the affected region, and its stories from close by. Together, we will reflect on the ongoing local impact of the earthquakes, the resilience of the people in the region, and how we, from the Netherlands, can contribute to the future of those affected.
